Trunk or Treat

Well, we made it! This was a very long day, full of lots of hard work & chaos & we’re all exhausted. So I’ll just skip right to the best parts & best photos from our fall festival tonight, so I can just turn my brain off after I hit publish. Gonna need lots of sleep tonight!

Our Harry Potter trunk theme turned out great, and I was very pleased with it! Even if I did forget my “Platform 9 ¾” sign at home… Thanks to all our friends (Kathryn, Janet, Lisel, Eunice, Mitzi, Jeanne, & Jane), who loaned us things!

And our baby Hedwig didn’t want to wear it for more than 5 seconds, but she would have been too adorable to handle! Good thing we only spent $12, and like 5 hours making it…. Oh well!

And girlfriend had her first pieces of candy to ight, and she learned quickly how to get more… First d Grammy & Pepaw!

HUGE shout-out to my sister & bro-in-law, Aunt Meggie & Uncle Bo, for coming tonight & taking care of Emerson the entire time. They were her parents for the night, & took her to all the fun things! Love you both!

Also, huge shout-out to my Grandmother, for getting Emerson to sleep in her arms, in the church nursery this afternoon, even when Jeff & I couldn’t, so we could get some work done. Love you, Grandmommie!

And to my Mama, who was in charge of the whole event! I’m in charge of the trunk or treat portion , & helped her with a few other things, but she did most of the planning & coordinating all on her own! (We also had free hot dogs, pony rides, a petting zoo, a trackless train, a sunk tank, inflatable baseball game, a preschool zone, carnival games, Centershot archery demo, & a coloring station for littles! I think that covers everything…) This our our 4th year doing it together, & we certainly make a great team. Well, YOU make a great leader! Love you Mama!

And thank you to my 30 trunks for providing your cars & your decorations, to make such a great event! (All of those photos will be on Facebook.)

And now it’s time for an early bed time!!
