Early yesterday morning, I set up our carafe to have cold brew today, since it takes 24 hours to “brew.” We did this a lot last summer when we were both working from home, but it takes planning ahead an entire day, and we often forget, so this is the first time we’ve done it in quite a long time. But since we remembered to do it yesterday, today, we added the Splenda and hazelnut creamer directly to the carafe, and it was delicious!

Emmie was super happy and sweet this morning! She had a slightly rough drop-off with Daddy, but it wasn’t too bad, and I think she recovered quickly and had a good day at school.

Very first thing this morning, Doctor Emerson was watching Daniel Tiger on her Kindle, while Baby Sister snoozed nearby.

As usual, Emerson was up before the sun today. Actually, she came into our bed around 11:40pm last night, just crying and upset and not feeling good. Then she woke up around 4:30, same thing again, but we got her back to sleep for a little longer, before she finally got up a little before 6am. She started out the day with a bowl of cereal for her first breakfast…

Another rainy, dreary day, but my girl was happy and ready to head off to school! Well actually, she started whining about something before they left, and I said, “If you calm down and hurry up, you’ll probably get to school at the same time as Aunt Meggie and the triplets!” And so she calmed down and was fine after that!

Emerson was such a happy little girl this morning. She requested this “water spout” hair do, and chose the headband with it. Also, this yogurt pouch was in our “wrong” Walmart grocery order yesterday, so at least that item worked out in our favor!

Well, with Addison & Emerson’s eating and waking schedules today, I was up for the day at 5:30 am, and didn’t even take a nap today. (I did however drink tons of coffee throughout the day, which was obviously necessary.) I made egg sammies for Emmie and I for breakfast, while all the boys were still asleep.

My girl was SO EXCITED today, because it was the first water day at school, and another day of junior gym, and it was a big Friday! She picked out her own bathing suit, and could barely contain her excitement this morning.

It’s been a crazy week, and yesterday was a little, well, blah for me, for lack of a better term. But I was hoping to wake up feeling refreshed today, and to have a better day, and this is the gorgeous sunrise I saw when I let Pretzel out this morning! Praise the Lord, for his mercies are new every morning.

Emerson has been queen of the hair accessories this week, and I’m honestly a fan of her fashion choices 😁

Pretty little kitty girl, ready for another day at school! Grammy took her to school after spending the night with us last night, and said she did perfect, with no clinging and no crying!

So after Jeff’s late-night visit to the ER last night with the worsening staph infection under his arm, he ended up getting admitted to the hospital. The doctor just thought he needed the stronger IV antibiotics (as opposed to the oral pills), and better wound care, so they ended up admitting him to the hospital late last night, to stay for a few days. And not that this would be a good thing to happen ever, but this is also just terrible timing all around… So please keep those prayers for us coming!
Soooo yeah… I was home alone with all four kids last night! So, Grammy & Grandmommie came to pick up Emerson and take her to school for me today, after I got her dressed and ready this morning, so that I could stay home with Baby Sister.

Today has been crazy, and Addie is due for her next bottle any minute now, so I’m gonna try to write this post as quickly as possible…
Dr. Pullen helped change Addison’s diaper first thing this morning, and she has lately realized she likes watching “my cooking show” with me (Pioneer Woman), so she specifically requested that this morning.

Early this morning, Jeff and Nana left to go pick up the boys for them to spend a month with us here. So Emmie and Addie and I had a little bit of time just us girls…
