Ring Around the Rosie

We had delicious cinnamon rolls for breakfast again this morning, which were gobbled up in a heartbeat.

We got dressed shortly after breakfast (Emmie picked out her shirt, and let me do her hair), and then we headed out to meet Nana. Jeff was helping someone with some computer stuff this morning, so we did some girls’ shopping together!

And Nana surprised Emerson with some rain boots this morning! Emmie has actually been wanting some for a while now, and Nana happened to find some at Costco this past week! And wouldn’t you know, they even have Anna & Elsa on them! As she was putting them on, she was like, “William and Andrew have rain boots!” Which is what she tells us all the time, whenever she would ask us for some for herself.

We did some shopping at Target and Marshall’s, looking for a few things here and there. We had to practically drag her away from all of these super soft plushy Disney toys, that of she wanted all of.

Her shoes were hurting her feet, so she took them off, and insisted on crab-walking the buggy for a while, even in her bare-feet all through the store. Oh well…

She found this little llama mug set, and she just had to have it. So she got the stuffed llama, and I got the cute llama mug! She also helped me pick out a new nice-smelling candle as well.

We decided to have lunch at Sahara, which just happened to be one of the six spotlight restaurant’s in the Tallahassee Foodies blitz this week. We all got something different, and all of the food was delicious. And we got the hummus for free when we mentioned the blitz, which was literally the best hummus I’ve ever had in my life.

We went home for naptime after lunch, and both Emerson and I laid down for a nap. She only slept for about an hour, so neither of us slept long. But that was ok, because once she woke up, we loaded up to go over to Aunt Meggie & Uncle Bo’s house, for Grammy’s birthday dinner!

Bo made stuffed French toast for dinner, complete with sausage patties and raspberry & blueberry topping. And it was sooo goood. I was thoroughly impressed.

After Grammy opened her gifts, we put all four baby girls into the bathtub together, and Megan and I got all the slippery, naked girls all cleaned up.

We got them all dried and warm and dressed in their jammies, and then we stayed for a little while longer to play and get lots of hugs and snuggles, before the girls went to bed, and we had to head home ourselves.

Kensley found the scar on my ankle from when I dropped the machete on my ankle back in March, and she was so sweet and concerned about it. She sat down and just kept rubbing it over and over again so softly, making little moans and seeming so worried. It was so precious, and it turned me into a puddle.

Uncle Jeff fell asleep on the couch, but Ellie wasn’t having any of that, and she had to get all up in his business to wake him up. She thought it was hilarious.

Emmie told us multiple times that she didn’t want to go home and she didn’t want to go to sleep. But bedtime went really smoothly, and we got her down with no trouble at all.

I’ve been blogging on the computer, watching “When Calls the Heart” on Netflix. I’m currently freezing though, so I’m going to go bundle up in some warmer jammies and fuzzy socks, and then snuggle up on the couch with my hubby!
