Zalads & Handstands

I was actually at church first thing this morning for praise team rehearsal. But since Jeff couldn’t fit all 4 kids in the car at once with the boys here, I had to run home to pick up the girls before church. So when we got there, the trips were just getting there too, and they were more than happy to all line up for pictures together! We just couldn’t get Addie Pie to actually smile…

Megan and I were both on praise team together this morning, and then Bo actually preached the sermon in “big church” today, instead of being in kids church like usual. And he did such a great job! It was a whole family situation up on stage, but my parents also came to hear him today too, so it really was family day!

Had to get more lemonade to support the missions fundraiser after church again, of course.

Then we did a big giant group lunch at Zaxby’s all together after church.

Tried doing a panoramic photo to get all of us, but it turned out a little wacky, so just don’t look too close.

Ellie Grace was very lovey and sweet with Uncle Jeff today, and it was super cute.

Jeff and Gabe picked up our Walmart grocery order after lunch, and Ryan rode home with me and the girls. Emmie laid down in her sleeping bag on the floor of her room for nap (she actually sleeps really well like that), and I rocked Addie to sleep in her room. Then after getting the cold groceries away, Jeff and I and the boys all laid down in our beds for naps as well.

Then it started thundering and raining, and the naps just got even better from there. Seriously, Addie slept for 3 hours, and Emmie had to come wake up me and Jeff, and then we had to wake up the boys too. And by that time, it was time to head over to Nana & PopPop’s house for dinner.

I treated myself to some 5pm coffee, and it was so yummy and now I’m just hoping it doesn’t keep me awake tonight, but I kinda doubt it will…

Emerson is constantly doing all her little gymnastics tricks (literally all the time), and then Ryan showed us he can actually do a head stand, and he was trying to teach Emmie. But then of course Addie started yelling “my turn, my turn!” And so she had to try it out too.

Got the girls changed into their jammies, and then started packing up to head home.

We watched an episode or two of Bluey when we got home, and then Addie curled herself up with Ryan, while I did bedtime with Emmie. He rocked her to sleep, and even fell asleep there with her too. He walked her to her crib, and then said, “Now I understand why you and Dad always fall asleep holding her.”

I’m gonna go force myself to wash up some dishes that I’ve been neglecting for a couple of days, because I hate starting a new week full of cooking and meals and stuff, with a sink full of old dirty dishes.
