Last Night Before One

Now that Addison is getting so big, we tried out a dress for her at school today. And wow she just really looks so grown up! The dress, the shoes, standing there by her big sister… it’s all too much! Both these girls are just so adorable!

And Addie clearly had a great day, and her teachers sent us tons of photos of her today.

After picking up the girls from school, I got busy making dinner. I had actually been craving pasta allll day, and this turned out so good tonight. Emmie picked out these noodles from Aldi last weekend, and they were such a fun shape, and I loved the texture and shape once we mixed it all up and tasted it.

(We got those tiny cookies back there to take for Addison’s birthday treat for her class tomorrow.)

We didn’t want Addie to get her pretty white dress messy with pasta sauce, so we let her eat dinner in just her diaper and a bib, and girlfriend ate sooo much pasta tonight!

Addie ended up getting pasta all the way up to her elbows and all up in her hair and eyebrows, and Emmie had red sauce across both sides of her mouth. So of course we put both girls directly in the bathtub to get cleaned up. After a little over three weeks, Emmie’s head wound is really starting to look much better. It’s scabbed over nicely, and it doesn’t hurt her too much anymore.

She had some cotton candy peeps from her Easter basket for her dessert, while watching Polly Pocket on Netflix. We cuddled for a little while, and then we started on the bedtime routine. Emmie was sweet and did a good job at bedtime, with no problems tonight.

Meanwhile, we tried to get all the extra lovin’ from baby Addie pie, on her last night as a baby, before she turns one tomorrow!

As I walked her back to her room to lay her down in her crib, I prayed over her and for her and thanked God for this beautiful amazing little baby he blessed me with. She has been such a joy this past year, and has brought so much extra happiness into our family, I just honestly can’t believe she’ll be one tomorrow!
