Hotel Noel

This morning, Emerson participated in her very first kids choir Christmas musical at church, and she did so great! The gigantic t-shirt may have been swallowing her whole, but she looked adorable.

She did a sweet little duet with another cute tiny blonde girl, and I was so proud of her! She had been nervous about being on stage in front of the whole church, but my girl did so great, and didn’t miss a beat! (I did take a video of her song, but my IT helper is sound asleep on the couch, and I need his help with that part, so maybe I can share the video in tomorrow’s blog post.)

Megan is the director of these musicals every year, and this was her 9th one! We’ve actually been coming to see them every single year, and it was so special for us to be there as a part of the church, and to have Emerson participating.

We did a big giant 13-person lunch at Dreamland after church, with lots of wandering around outside while waiting for th food to come…

After lunch, everyone went home for naps, and yes all of us napped. We got ready to go again, and then we went across town to Hanger 38, for the kids choir celebration party. We dropped off Emmie there first to eat pizza with everyone, and we walked down the strip mall for some take-out Chinese, and to let Addie play at this tiny playground for a while.

We came back to hang out with the kids for a while, and watched Emmie play some arcade games for a bit, and then all the kids got to bowl for half an hour too.

Nobody wanted to leave, and everyone cried loading up in the cars (all 5 of our family’s kids, I’m sure the bigger kids weren’t quite as dramatic), but once everyone had some food, and some cuddles, everyone calmed down. We got them down to bed later than usual, but it was easy to get them to sleep.

So thankful for such a great day and a great weekend with lots of Christmas activities and family time. But ya girl is tired and in need of some good rest!
