Garlic Parm Fries

These girls were being so goofy and silly this morning, when trying to take their sister pics. One would stand, then the other would sit. Then they would switch, and Addison just thought it was best, funniest game. She would throw her head wayyy far back, almost fake laughing. So cute!

Church was so great this morning. It was the first Sunday in 3-4 weeks with everyone back in our normal schedule and routine, and it was truly just an incredible morning of worship and preaching. Then we went out to lunch with some church friends (who is also the worship leader & his wife and kids) at Relish, for delicious burgers and garlic parmesan fries.

Once we got back home, all four of us laid down to take naps – Emerson slept with me in my bed, and Jeff actually held Addison in the recliner the whole time they both slept. Then we let Jeff lay down in the bed for a little bit once the girls and I woke up, and I took them outside to their playhouse.

Tonight’s dinner was garlic rosemary chicken that I air-fried and a Mediterranean salad kit (both from Fresh Market), and the last of the potatoes that I made last week. I also toasted a few pieces of that sourdough, and made green beans for the girls since they don’t eat salad, and this was a great meal, that required almost no effort on my part.

You can see I was the first to make it the clean plate club tonight 🙂 You can also see we never actually got around to taking down the Christmas tree today either… Oh well, as Taylor Swift says, “We can leave the Christmas lights up ’til January; it’s our place, we make the rules.”

Playing peek-a-boo, with food on her forehead.

Oh, and I forgot about this one last new ornament we got this year. We got this one at Esposito’s, when we went to visit Santa.

After dinner, we all watched the “Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl” special, with the girls singing and dancing along, and eating more snacks. Until eventually it was time for bedtime…

Today was a nice, slow, somewhat lazy day (or at least a lazy afternoon/evening), and that was just what we all needed.
