Churro’s & Chuck Taylor’s

My baby girl woke up at exactly 6:10am again this morning. But I took her an extra paci (just for good measure), and told her she needed to rest more because it wasn’t wasn’t time to wake up yet. And I actually got 30 more minutes of sleep out of that! Then all three of us woke up, and cuddled for a few minutes, before we had to start baths & showers before church.

I loved seeing this giant orange harvest in the morning sunlight.

Goofball with two paci’s in her mouth on the way to church…

On the way to lunch after church, I asked her what she leaned about in Sunday school, she said “Moses!” I asked what did Moses do, and she said, “he threw his stick down, and a snake came out, and then fire!” And I was so impressed with and proud of her! I got it on video too, and then she told the whole family at lunch. And she made this burning bush for craft time!

Super cute new outfit from Nana. And so. much. SASS!

Grammy brought her a surprise, which was great and kept her entertained while waiting for our lunch to come.

And Aunt Suzanne suggested she try dipping her chicken fingers into the queso, and of course Emmie thought that was a great idea.

We also ordered a churro for dessert (Jeff’s been craving another one since the Costco one the other night), so Grammy helped her eat her part of it.

She wanted to go outside once we finished, and Uncle Keith put her up in a tree! She thought it was the best thing!

This little dress came together with the gray coat, and it was the fanciest, most fashionable little outfit! Thank you, Nana!

We did nap time immediately when we got home, and since she learned about Moses this morning in Sunday School, she wanted to read a story about Moses as well. She fell asleep instantly, and was sweetly snoring on my shoulder.

While Emerson napped, Jeff napped in the recliner and I napped on the couch, and it was pretty great.

We all slept for about an hour and a half, and then after waking up, we played in our jammies for just a few minutes. We made an orange centerpiece for the table, and then got ourselves dressed again.

Jeff was going out to do some computer work for our tax guy (they trade off work for each other and we get our taxes done for free), so Emmie and I went to spend the late afternoon/evening with Grammy & Papa.

A friend at Nita’s church gave Emmie a bag of hand-me-down shoes to borrow, including these pink Chuck Taylor’s, and oh my word how adorable!!

We also brought a huge basket of oranges to leave for them.

We ate dinner at the counter, but Emerson couldn’t decide who she really wanted to sit with, so she kept moving from person to person, eating a little bit with each of us.

And of course Grammy had special desserts, so she ate half of an ice cream sandwich.

Grandmommie had spent the afternoon & evening with Uncle Keith & Aunt Suzanne, but she got back home a little before we had to leave, and Emmie was very excited to see her! Grandmommie was loving her and tickling her, and Emmie was laughing the biggest, best belly laughs, and having so much fun!

We headed on home, and immediately got ready for bedtime. We watched two night-night videos, read the caterpillar book and two Bible stories, and then Daddy got home right in time for night-night hugs & kisses!

She did relatively well with bedtime, and we got her down without too much difficulty. Now of course, it’s time for hot tea, warm jammies and “The Mandalorian.” I think we’re on episode six of eight now, so not too much left.
