Today was one of the Go Pink days at Growing Room, so Emmie and Addie were both participating, wearing pretty pink dresses. Addie was being silly with her little tongue out in that first pic.
We were happy to see our trippies and Aunt Meggie at daycare drop-off today!
Addie has her fingers way far down her mouth there, which we later discovered was because she’s got a few new teeth popping up finally.
When I made myself some instant cappuccino in my cute little Harry Potter mug this afternoon, my newest coworker/friend, who just started in our unit a couple months ago, was like, “Are those pilgrims?” I died laughing at that. She though McGonagall’s hat was a pilgrim without looking too closely. And then she admitted she really doesn’t know anything about Harry Potter, which didn’t need to be said out loud, since it was pretty obvious 😉

I made an Americanized version of bangers & mash for dinner tonight, with the cheddar jalapeno chicken sausages and some instant mashed potatoes. Obviously not “proper English” food, but still really tasty. Addie was up in her chair like that, eating her broccoli, watching for her sister. Oh also, she told me when I picked her up today, “Ms. Angel did my hair sprout!”
After a nice dinner on the back patio, we had the last few pieces of cake leftover from Grammy’s birthday dinner last night.
Emmie was having kind of a rough night, so we made sure to do bedtime on time tonight, to get her to sleep and get her some rest. She was fine once we started our bedtime routine, and Jeff successfully got Addison to sleep. I have a small load of dishes to wash, then I’ll probably make some popcorn and watch some tv before bedtime.
