Stuffed Strawberry

Happy Friday, before a very long four-day weekend!

Jeff had a dentist appointment first thing this morning, so I took both girls to camp/daycare today. Emerson took this picture of Addison while we were driving, because she told me she just looked so cute with the panda on her face, so I passed her my phone. She took 8 pictures total, and half of them were actually in focus, so I think she did a great job!

You guys! Look at this giant, super adorable, crocheted strawberry!!! Every night as part of our bedtime routine, Emmie and I watch this girl named Kaarin on TikTok, who does cool crafts and DIY projects, like amazing giant crocheted fruits and foods and animals, and Emmie loves them. So I asked one of my coworker friends if she knew how to make something like that, and asked if I could commission her for a birthday gift…

She made this incredibly soft, plushy, stuffed strawberry, and it turned out amazing, and she was so sweet and wouldn’t even let me pay her for it! Emerson’s gonna love this so much. Can’t wait to give it to her next weekend!

And I made a super yummy ham & turkey wrap for lunch today, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato and red onion, and two kinds of cheeses. It was so good, and I wanted more, I made another little wrap, but without the wrap, and just kinda folded it all up in the cheese like a taco. And even that was delicious! (And then I just sliced up the tomato and ate the rest of that too, because that farmer’s market tomato just hits different.)

When I got to school after work, I loved Addie’s adorable little hair-do her teacher had done today!

I made a really quick and easy dinner, just using ground chicken and the P.F. Chang’s sesame sauce, with basmati rice and steam-in-the-microwave green beans, and it was really yummy.

We had lots of fun playtime and movie cuddle time after dinner (with just a slight meltdown from both girls at one point), and then both were sweet and sleepy and ready to go to bed.

I am at 89% in my current very cute rom-com Kindle book, and I really want to finish it tonight, to add to my June reading stats, so I’m going to go finish that up pretty quickly, before bedtime. And now we have a 4-day weekend!
