Shepherd on the Search

Gonna fly through today’s post, because it’s been another long day, and it’s kinda late already… Both girls had a good drop-off today.

Addison would not leave this little buddy in the car, nor would she let me take it from her. She legitimately yelled at me for trying to take it. So she got to keep it 🙂

Apparently Emerson was tired on the way to school, so she snuggled up and took a little rest.

And then she was ready to go.

Lunch with Mama & Megan at one of our favorite spots, Hopkins Eatery. Mom even took our orders ahead of time and ordered for us, so her and the food were all sitting at the table when we got there!

Cute pics of Addie Pie from school.

I literally brought all the stuff to make Emmie a PB&J at my desk right before 5pm today, so I could pick her up, have her eat in the car, and then drop her off at church for another night of kids choir practice. Meanwhile, Jeff actually made the dinner I had planned for us, so when I got home, all I had to do was wait 10 more minutes until it was all done.

After dinner, I went back to pick up Emerson, and filled up the gas tank, and then came back home to get the girls ready for bedtime.

Oh, and after dinner, we also got down all the Christmas stuff, and Emerson was so surprised and excited to see Sheppy had made his way to her bed tonight, and brought his book with him! (Now I’ve got to sneak back in her room to move him tonight…) She even made the connection (all on her own, I didn’t even do it on purpose), that Sheppy was next to the pink sheep on her pillow, and she said, “He’s taking care of his flock by night.” She’s so smart!

Even though Addie seemed asleep on Daddy’s chest above, when I picked her up she kinda fussed and so I was all to ready to sit back down and snuggle her myself for a while.

Then we finally put our tree up! And that’s literally all we did. I didn’t even fluff the branches yet… But we’ll get it fluffed & decorated over the next couple of days, in between our very busy weekend we’ve got coming up.

Time to sit and rest and turn off my brain for a while, after a very busy day at work, and a busy night with the fam.
