Ninth Anniversary Dinner

Sweet little girls, ready for Friday! Emmie had a little bunny friend, and Addie had a little snack cup. Today was also pajama day for Addie, so she was looking super cute in her hand-me-down dino jammies!

Emerson was super excited for her fun run this morning, and was ready to run in her shorts & sneakers! (She also got a couple more donors last night, so thank you Jennifer & Grandmommie!)

In order to get Grammy all the girls’ things for their sleepover tonight, we made plans to meet up at lunch today, and we picked this new place to try, Surcheros. We had a really nice time together, and this food was great! I got a carnitas burrito, and she got a chicken quesadilla, and we went halvsies on both things. We both agreed we liked the quesadilla, but the burrito was definitely the best.

Emmie had a great day at school today, between the fun run this morning, and some more apple experiments in her classroom.

And Addie had a good day at school too – lots of fun painting with green!

Grammy picked up the girls today and took them home for their sleepover, so I just got to go straight home after work. She sent me a few pics of Addie, covered in dried green paint from her activities. They had Chick-fil-A for dinner, played a while, stayed up a little too late, and then eventually both finally crashed around 9pm.

I actually wrote the first half of this blog (all the way through the paragraph below) while Jeff took a quick shower. Then I got freshened up and ready to go, and then we went out for our ninth anniversary dinner celebration at Harry’s! It’s one of our very favorite restaurants in town, and we love going back there for special occasions and such (especially since they send us $10 off coupons!).

We decided to order two appetizers and one entrée to share, so that we could save room to order the Oreo beignets for dessert to share too. But we were actually too full to even finish what we ordered, so we just skipped dessert unfortunately. Everything was just as delicious as always, and we had such a great time together, just us two, with no little ones to entertain. We took our time and just really enjoyed ourselves, and even strolled around downtown for a little bit afterwards!

We’re back home now, and we’ve got Chris Stapleton blasting through the speakers, and we’re gonna play a game or cards or something, and just enjoy the rest of our kid-free evening together!
