Flamingo Dress

Emerson had a few bites of granola bar for her pre-breakfast appetizer today. Not only did she insist Mommy sit on the couch, in this specific spot, but she also insisted on “ice watuh in sun cuppy!” So that’s what she got!

And then at school, she was showing off her new “mingo” dress!

Morning snack – an entire tub of Publix watermelon. It was so good! It’s my favorite fruit.

I brought another bagged salad for my lunch today, except this time, I completely knew I was just going to eat the entire thing. I mean, the entire thing is only 250 calories {not that I’m actually counting, but still}, so why would I not eat the whole thing?! It’s just so good! I’m loving these bagged salad kits this summer. Obviously. And I read some more of my library book, and played a little bit of Wizards Unite.

Afternoon snack – mug of Emergen-C. Still not feeling great. My throat hurts, and my face hurts. I’m sooo over it.

This time two years ago, we had seen our pediatric cardiologist Dr. Vining for the second time, and shared about her VSD on Facebook for the first time. We still see him every six months, and she still has a tiny hole in her heart.

Emmie looks like she had a good day at school today!

There were no youth activities at church tonight, and no choir rehearsal either. We haven’t eaten out much since the boys been here (except for quick Sunday lunches), so we told them hey could pick a restaurant for dinner. And they chose Red Robin! So we all had delicious burgers with fries (sweet potato fries for me) for dinner. Yummm. (I couldn’t not do that…)

It’s been a running joke this summer that every time I sneak of photo of Ryan, he’s always making some terrible face, and tonight was no exception 😂

Once we got home, she was already asking for a snack, and she wanted some of her brother’s drink.

Then she wanted to hold her mingo, which matched her mingo dress perfectly!

She wanted more Sprite before bedtime, and her little tummy felt so full after all that! And look at those red-rimmed, tired eyes! She had a really short nap at school today, so the poor thing was exhausted. At least she was easy to put down tonight.

And now it’s time for another mug of hot tea, plus some combination of allergy and/or meds and Tylenol, and “Oceans 12” until I fall asleep on the couch. Because of course that’s what I’ll do.
