Sunday Sushi

This has been kind of a long, lazy, Sunday, but I’m gonna make this post relatively short & sweet.

Started off with some leftover donuts from yesterday, and a little bit of coloring time.

Then Jeff and Emmie went to church, and I stayed home with Addie. She hasn’t had fever in a couple of days, but she’s just tired and fussy, and we knew she wouldn’t do well in the nursery.

Emmie had a great morning in kids’ church, and my sister sent me this photo of her during their kids worship time, and it’s so sweet and precious.

Addie played a little, and ate some Pringles, but by 10:15, she was exhausted and ready for a nap. But she wouldn’t let me lay her down in her crib, so I held her like this while she slept for 2.5 hours.

Jeff and Emmie ordered lunch from Mizu (made a stop at Walgreens for deodorant and Emmie racked up some treats herself), and brought it home after lunch, and it was delicious.

Mmmm I want this whole order of BOGO sushi rolls again right now, it was just so good!

After a slightly late lunch, we played a little bit, and then convinced Emmie she needed a nap, so I laid down with her, and we napped together for about 2.5 hours. Jeff and Addie played a little bit together, but then she got tired again, and ended napping while Jeff held her for a while too. It was very late-afternoon by the time we all started slowly waking up and moving around, so we played a little bit, then had PB&J’s for dinner, and just lazed around a little more.

And then eventually it was bedtime. Emerson read me this book (she’s kinda got it memorized after reading it so much recently), then we did not only our little Veggie Tales devotion, but we also did our new GC Kids family devotional too. She was the one that remembered to start this tonight, and she was the one insistent on reading the Bible story from a paper Bible, not just the app on my phone. I’m so stinking proud of this girl lately.

Emmie needed to come back up front to love on Baby Sister before they both fell asleep, so both girls were all cozy comfy curled up in Daddy’s lap. So sweet.

Addie had a rough night’s sleep last night (and so obviously Jeff and I did too), but I’m really hoping that tonight is better, so we can all get some better rest, and maybe even uninterrupted?!
