Shells & Knots

Addie Pie still had her funny little hair floof this morning, from two nights ago. And Emmie was excited for another day at Mega Sports Camp!

Beautiful rainbow early this morning on the way to work. I actually saw a few other friends post pictures of the rainbow as well. Seems most of Tally saw this beautiful sight this morning!

Emerson had another great day at Generations for Mega Sports Camp, and did really well at drop-off afterwards back at school.

Addison had a good day at school today, as always.

For dinner tonight, I put together a new-to-us meal, using all Aldi ingredients we got the other day. I just went and added it all up, and the whole meal only cost $15, and it fed all four of us, with three shells & 1 garlic knot leftover for my lunch tomorrow, plus a little more sauce in the jar, for whatever I might need it for… Emmie and Addie each ate one whole stuffed shell, and one whole garlic knot too. I was so proud of how much they ate tonight.

This meal of shells & knots was delicious, and we will definitely be repeating this meal again!

The girls both got in the bathtub together after dinner, and splashed around and got cleaned up, and then Jeff and I each took a girl to get dressed and ready for bedtime.

Emerson was desperately wanting a manicure, so we did that quickly, and put on my favorite magical quick-dry top coat. Then we read two short chapters of Matilda, and she was paying attention so well and laughing along at the funny parts. She’s doing well so far listening to me read her first chapter book.

Emerson ended up staying up a little too late tonight, and only just barely went to sleep finally around 9pm, even though we finished our reading around 8pm.

I finished up my audio book earlier, and even though I’ve read this one before, I still got all worked up and emotional during the last few chapters. Now I have to wait about four months until my library hold comes through on book #3 in the series, and I’ll be so anxious to re-read that one too!
