You guys, we have been very productive today! First though, I got to sleep in until the very late hour of 7:30am, while Jeff got up with the girls around 6am. He got all the toaster strudel’s done up for all of us, and then woke me up to eat.

Sheppy Returns
The girls loved finding Sheppy the Shepherd on the Search this morning. Addie wouldn’t let Emmie hold him for a photo, so that’s why Emmie decided to hold the stable instead. (Sheppy looks for Baby Jesus, and pops up in a new place in the house every morning, kind of like the whole Elf on the Shelf thing, but with a faith-based story behind it, and we don’t do all the elf shenanigans.) Today was our first day actually getting him going, but the girls will be excited to find him every morning!

Addison wanted to take pictures back in front of the bookshelves again today. So at her declaration, we did just that.

Curating Candles
We had some breakfast sandwiches this home, in the rainy, rainy weather. Then we had to run Emerson up to the church for kids choir rehearsal, for their upcoming Christmas play, which is next Sunday. So while she was at church, the three of us ran some errands. We stopped for gas, and got gas station coffee. I got a caramel macchiato, and it was actually really good.

Murder on the HMS Hope
Today (Saturday), was my sister Megan’s birthday. So for her birthday party, they hosted a super fun murder mystery game night. It’s a store-bought game set on a cruise ship in the 1910’s, so we all put on costumes from a century ago, and gathered to solve a murder! For this first photo, no one smiled, since they used to always take pictures very straight-faced.
