For the second year in a row, Jeff requested Donut Kingdom for Father’s Day breakfast, and who could blame him?! I am so thankful for the amazing Daddy he is to Emerson, how he takes care of her, and how much he loves her. Happy Father’s Day, hubs!

After getting up and getting freshly showered (and me putting on makeup for the first time in four weeks) Emmie and I went out to Grammy’s house for a little women’s ministry brunch, Bible study and mission project.
And look at this beautiful girl, in this adorable dress! Nana got this for Emmie, and she looks absolutely precious in her first maxi dress! And you can tell she really loves the dress too!

So we bought this birdie bathing suit on super clearance last summer, and she grew it into this year. She wore it one time to her friend Joshua’s birthday party, and then it accidentally got misplaced for three months. Then this past weekend, I finally found this folded up in a pile of her pants in the wrong drawer! She was super excited I found it, but asked very many times, “Why did you put it in the pants drawer, Mommy?” But I have no idea why!

My goofy little girl, with her wind-blown morning hair, was for some reason very interested in this vine creeping over onto the walkway at school this morning. So much so, that she had to take her daily photos with it! haha 🙂

As we were getting Emerson dressed this morning, she told us she wanted to wear tennis shoes. She then picked out her own shoes! We then had to change her shirt so it would match the shoes she picked out, but the outfit turned out super cute! 🙂

At drop-off, she was very intent on stomping on something, over & over again. I never actually saw anything myself, but she was eventually satisfied with the job, and could turn to take a few photos 🙂

Little Bit always needs a small snack or just a few bites of something before leaving home in the morning, even though she gets a full hot breakfast every day at school. Today, she was glad there was a donut or two left for her to have a few bites of!

Jeff was back on camera duty for livestream at church, so that meant Emerson and I had the morning all to ourselves! We ate breakfast together, and snuggled, and started a load of laundry…

Emerson stayed with Grammy and Papa all day today, while Jeff and I stayed home continuing to work on our kitchen project. So all of the pictures below are interspersed from home with just Jeff and I, and pictures at my parents’ house, since they were sending me photos during the day, and I was saving them to my phone.

I got up and took Emerson to school just like any regular Friday… And she was super excited to wear her bathing suit under her clothes for water day!

My sweet, gentle little girl was very interested in the flower buds this morning. She wanted to know all about them, so we talked about it for a bit before heading inside for drop-off.
