Emerson decided she wanted two pigtails this morning, but I couldn’t get them quite right so we had to settle for just one super cute side floof.

Well, I was oblivious to the weather today, so this morning I picked out this cute, sleeveless, hand-me-down dress for her to wear, and then we rushed outside to head to the car, and it was wayyy colder than we expected. I told her I still wanted one picture of her dress before putting her jacket on, and she was a good sport about it. Super cute dress though, right!?

Today was just kind of regular old day, and I’m feeling the pregnancy-tired big-time tonight, plus I barely took any photos today, so this’ll be short & sweet…

Cute little girl, ready for another day/week of school, excited once again for the weather to warm up to 75 degrees, feeling like spring is coming so soon!

Well, first things first, we’ve been having these sleepovers for the past couple of nights, because Jeff was out of town for four days, and we didn’t want to be alone all weekend. (Some of you shrewd readers recognized he wasn’t around lately or at church this morning, but I was keeping it under wraps, instead of announcing to the world that Emmie and I were home alone for a few days.)
So Friday night we had a sleepover at Nana’s house, went home long enough Saturday afternoon for Emmie to nap and me to do a few chores & repack our backpacks, then Saturday night we had a sleepover at Grammy’s house. I didn’t blog either of those nights, but I did post some pictures on Facebook, so we’ll just skip those nights and start with this morning.
Emmie and I both slept in the guest bed at Grammy’s house together, and she was so super sweet. She woke up in the middle of the night from a little nightmare, and ended up in Grandmommie’s bed for the last half of the night.

This is a much more subtle sunrise photo than my usual ones, but still nice & pretty all the same!

Little Miss was in a great mood today, and we had a really smooth, easy drop-off. No tears, no whining, got the jacket on and zipped. And we were good!

Emerson may have cried in the car on the way to school because we forgot her water bottle again, but I told her it would be too cold for ice water and she accepted that and calmed down. And then she was her usual happy, adorable self at drop-off, with no issues!

Emmie slept a little bit later today, until 6:45, but Jeff got up with her and let me sleep until about 7:30. Then I made coffee and cinnamon rolls and chocolate milk for breakfast.

So Emmie had her sleepover with Grammy last night, and although she stayed awake protesting sleep until after 10pm, she slept until about 7am, and then had a good morning getting donuts with them before church. It was my turn to sing on praise team at church this morning, so I did my full makeup and even wore some lipstick.
When I finally saw Emmie after church and we got in the car, she looked at me and studied my face for a minute and said, “What are you wearing on your lips, Mommy?” So obviously, she’s not used to seeing me in lipstick! But of course she wanted some too, so I put a tiny bit on her tiny lips. We decided to go to Village Pizza for lunch today, and she wanted to check herself out in the mirror once we sat down in the booth.

Jeff got up early with Emerson today, so that I could sleep later, until the surprisingly “late” hour of 7:30am. (Which IS actually a big deal, since I think Emmie woke up at 5:50 today…) Once I got up and moving, I made egg sandwiches for all three us, and of course my tiny helper pitched in.

On the way to school this morning, Emerson said, “Mommy, the sun is trying to wake up. Take a picture of it!” And y’all know of course I did.

It was so super cold this morning (literally freezing at 32 degrees, if I remember correctly), but my girl was bundled up and super silly, making all of the funny faces. I actually had to beg her to give me just one sweet little cheese-smile.

I love getting the most out of cute dresses, by putting little leggings underneath it like this. And I loved this combo today with her dino dress & sparkly white leggings. So cute! Especially with those little pink tennis shoes too.

Little Miss Independent just had to zip up her own jacket this morning. I let her work on it for a minute, and she finally got it! (Then tonight, when we video called Grammy and she asked her about it, Emmie was like, “Well it wasn’t tricky like my other one so it was easy.”)

Look at how precious my baby Munchkin is! I love this first photo. Her eyes just look so sweet, and I just love it.

So I’m not really a Starbucks fan (we’re Dunkin people in this family), but I do love these bottled Frappuccino’s. Jeff picked this one out for me from the gas station on the way to church this morning, and it was delicious.

Emmie wanted a McGriddle (of course), so her and Daddy ran out to pick up breakfast for the family, and bring it back home to me, since they let me sleep in until almost 8am! Look how sweet she was during prayer time. I love it.
