Dragons & Castles & Princesses

Emerson had kind of a rough morning at drop-off today. The assistant teacher of her room was at work early today, so instead of going in her old class with Ms. Sheila and then transferring next door at 8am like usual, we went straight to her class today. And since her schedule was thrown off, she was just not feeling it. She’s very into her routine, and when things get thrown off, it doesn’t always go well. So she was really clingy to me, and not super happy when I left.

Farmhouse Candles

So this morning, I completely slept through all of my alarms. And I have three of them. Apparently I turned them off in my sleep, and then kept on sleeping. So then I woke up an hour late! And that meant we were super late getting to school and work this morning, but Emerson was super sweet and cute around the house, so I didn’t mind a little bit of extra time with her. 🙂

Four Blue-Eyed Beauties

This morning was kind of rough, with the exhaustion from yesterday still hanging on, and the whole “lose an hour of sleep” thing with the spring forward time change. We ended up being about 25 minutes late to church this morning, which actually never happens to us, so that was weird. But then after a good morning at church, our entire family met up at Dreamland BBQ for the triplets’ birthday lunch, since today was their actual birthday! (In order below: Riley, Ellie, Kensley.)

The Triplets’ 1st Birthday Party!

This day has been an absolute blur. It’s already 9pm and I’m just now starting the post, which I normally finish by this time. So, today will be picture-heavy, and light on the words. It’s all pretty obvious and self-explanatory anyways. Oh and also, this is blog post #700!! Isn’t that crazy?!

In the morning, Jeff went back to church for another event, while Emerson and I picked up groceries & put away the cold stuff, showered & got dressed, and then headed down beautiful canopy roads to Grammy’s house… for the triplets’ first birthday party!!!

The Start of Spring Cleaning

Our church always does a big Easter egg hunt, and every year the members donate eggs & candy. We grabbed these eggs at Walmart yesterday, and had to tell Emerson about five times that they weren’t hers, but were for the church. It sunk in a little more when she carried them in herself this morning, and put them in the donation bucket.
