Bear Lullabies
Today’s drop-off went better than yesterday, with this silly little goofball girl.

Emerson had kind of a rough morning at drop-off today. The assistant teacher of her room was at work early today, so instead of going in her old class with Ms. Sheila and then transferring next door at 8am like usual, we went straight to her class today. And since her schedule was thrown off, she was just not feeling it. She’s very into her routine, and when things get thrown off, it doesn’t always go well. So she was really clingy to me, and not super happy when I left.

So this morning, I completely slept through all of my alarms. And I have three of them. Apparently I turned them off in my sleep, and then kept on sleeping. So then I woke up an hour late! And that meant we were super late getting to school and work this morning, but Emerson was super sweet and cute around the house, so I didn’t mind a little bit of extra time with her. 🙂

This morning was kind of rough, with the exhaustion from yesterday still hanging on, and the whole “lose an hour of sleep” thing with the spring forward time change. We ended up being about 25 minutes late to church this morning, which actually never happens to us, so that was weird. This day has been an absolute blur. It’s already 9pm and I’m just now starting the post, which I normally finish by this time. So, today will be picture-heavy, and light on the words. It’s all pretty obvious and self-explanatory anyways. Oh and also, this is blog post #700!! Isn’t that crazy?!
In the morning, Jeff went back to church for another event, while Emerson and I picked up groceries & put away the cold stuff, showered & got dressed, and then headed down beautiful canopy roads to Grammy’s house… for the triplets’ first birthday party!!!

Emerson stayed up way too late at Nana’s house last night, but it seems she still woke up in a good mood. Nana took her to school and said she did much better at drop-off, than she did with Daddy yesterday, with only minimal whining, but not much else.

Today’s reading week day was supposed to be “red & blue,” but we ended up with blue only, plus a pink hair bow and a new pair of pink jelly shoes. So, not quite on the mark, but still super cute of course!

Every year to mark Dr. Seuss’s birthday, Growing Room does a week-long celebration with fun dress-up days and such. Today was silly hat day, and Emmie kept saying, “this is a beach hat!” But even wearing a silly hat, you still gotta have tea with your morning muffin 🙂
