Yellow Romper, Yellow Nightgown
First thing this morning, we had to drop off Jeff’s car at the Volvo mechanic, for some routine maintenance and check-ups. So we left his car, and then we carpooled from there. Surprisingly, we were running early, so we ran through the Dunkin Donuts drive-thru for some 2 for $5 bacon, egg & cheese croissants for us, and a couple chocolate Munchkins (donut holes) for Emmie. She got pretty upset when we both had to leave her at school, but Ms. Q was holding her, and I knew she’d be fine. (Also, this is only the 2nd time she’s worn this yellow romper {here’s the first}, but it’s still one of my current faves of hers. And of course Megan has already requested this be passed down to the triplets once Emmie grows out of it.)

Sammiches
Tater Tot was acting super clingy this morning, and would NOT let me put her down. She wouldn’t even let me get a good picture of her dress. Ms. Q had to come over and just peel her off of me, and took her straight to the cabinet to see what she could share with her 😉

Dead Car Battery
Emmie wanted a roll for her pre-breakfast appetizer today. When I handed it to her, she said, “Nana’s house!” Because she remembered that Nana gave us these leftover rolls the last time we were at her house! What a memory!

Today is my baby girl’s second birthday! As cliche as this sounds, I can’t believe it’s finally happened, or how fast these past two years have gone. It’s crazy! For a special treat, we left home early and took her to get donuts (her favorite breakfast, thanks to Papa), for her special day!

I asked her what she wanted for her breakfast appetizer, and gave her options of either Honey Nut Cheerios or Cinammon Toast Crunch, and she enthusiastically said, “cunch, cunch, cunch!!” So she had a bag of CTC on the way to school.

Emerson requested cereal again for breakfast today, and it’s so easy so of course I said yes. She ate breakfast wearing only her diaper, so we didn’t mess up her church dress.

Today we all had milk & cereal in bowls at the table, rather than from a plastic bag in the car. And she loved it! She had three little girl size bowls.

Movie Theater Popcorn
We got up bright and early today, when the alarm went off at 7am. Lately, Emmie has been waking up on her own anytime between 6:15-6:45. But, she had a doctor’s appointment for her eye this morning, so of course since we had to be up early, today was the one day in forever that she actually slept in. I had texted my friend Abby last night (Emmie’s pediatrician) with photos saying I thought it was worse, and she responding saying she wanted to see her in person today.
