So we’re back to a mostly-regular schedule this week. Jeff is still working from home, but I am back to full-time at the office, and Emerson is back to full-time at daycare. But first, Emerson was very happy to learn this morning that not only did Daddy bring her a few chocolate munchkins yesterday, but he also bought a pink donut!

Today was another long, full day, but it was a great day! We started the day with a little preschool music time with Emmie’s church friends, and it was so cute to see so many little friends and families!

Today was a super long, super great, super tiring day. It’s already like 9:15pm and I’m just now starting this post, so I’m going to keep it simple. That’s the plan at least, we’ll see how much I end up blabbing… 😉

OK first, I want to share my late-night snack from last night, which was the last slice of my homemade bread, toasted & spread with this Trader Joe’s pumpkin butter, because wow it was delicious. And now I’m thinking I should make another loaf of bread this weekend, right?!

We started a new month yesterday, and Florida’s governor issued a state-wide stay-at-home order for the next month… With all the craziness and darkness and disappointment and struggles in the world right now surrounding this virus, when most of us are “stuck” at home, or for those of us who have been deemed “essential Government employees,” this message on my calendar to “enjoy the little things” seems like a very important reminder right now. My precious girl slept in again, and so I naturally woke up at 7:45 again, without an alarm, and without a chattering toddler on the baby monitor. She was awake by 8am, and then we snuggled on the couch, eating breakfast and watching some of Frozen II.

Well after not napping hardly at all yesterday (and with two short-lived, middle-of-the-night wake-ups), my girl was sound asleep when I woke up naturally, with no alarm, and without hearing a chatterbox toddler, at 7:45am. I have no idea that last time I woke up like that!

So with daycare being closed today (for an unknown amount of time at this point), Jeff and I will be just tag-team taking care of the tiny Tater Tot, and try our best to make it through at least this week. So, he worked from home for the morning, while I took care of and played with Emerson… And so today was Emerson’s first day of in-home daycare!

Usually, on a “normal” Sunday, we don’t ever eat breakfast at home. Partly because we don’t have time, but mostly because our Sunday school class all takes turns making & bringing breakfast for everyone each week. But today, since our worship services are all still online-only, we had breakfast at home together.
