Jeff’s parents took care of the boys for us today. Ryan & Gabe spent the morning with PopPop, and the afternoon with Nana. PopPop took them to Crawfordville and saw the old car graveyard. They thought it was super cool. They also talked Nana into icees and a trip to wander around Walmart.
So tonight, Nana made a 3rd of July feast tonight! We had BBQ pork ribs (made in the Instant Pot), baked beans, corn on the cob, cole slaw and mac & cheese!
Emmie was content eating some of the meat, beans & noodles, at first… But then she noticed we were all eating corn on the cob, and was jealous. So she got Nana’s to gnaw on, and that girl went to town!
And just look at how happy, and adorable, and patriotic my girl was at school drop-off this morning! The most adorable.
We’re looking forward to a day off work in the middle of the week tomorrow, and fun times with family! We are going to spend some time in our new backyard pool, and I’m excited about it!
