Slow Sunday

Look at how beautiful both of my baby girls were for church this morning! Jeff actually had to be there early to serve in the sound booth for GC Kids, but I had the day off. So the girls and I had a nice slow Sunday morning, and didn’t have to be at church until 10am, and that was so nice.

And then we had an amazing morning in church. Megan was actually on the worship team, so after she sang, she came and sat with me for the sermon. I love getting to do church life with my sister 🥰

I had a $5 off $20 coupon for Jimmy John’s in my app today, so I placed our order and we headed there for lunch after church. (Emmie was begging me to sit outside in the first photo, but it felt a little too exposed for our wild toddler to have the liberty to run free so close to Tennessee Street, so we did not do that.)

It continued to be a typical slow Sunday for us, in that our schedule was church, lunch, nap & then back to church again for dinner and Connect Groups. We just had pizza and salad for dinner, which was good. And Addie ended up in Miss Ary’s lap, eating her Parmesan-covered lettuce with her.

We had a good group session about prayer tonight, and the girls had fun playing with all their little church friends. And then it was immediately time to start our bedtime stuff once we got home. Addie in particular was very tired tonight, and she was being super sweet and snuggly with Mommy on the couch.

We’ve gotten Addison to sleep now, but Emerson was in need of some extra loves, so she’s snuggled up with Daddy for a little while longer, until she’s ready to go to sleep. So for now, I think it’s time for a snack and a book for me, cuddled up on the couch with my favorite blanket on a Sunday night.
