My two beautiful, blue-eyed girls, both wide-eyed and ready for another day at school! Emerson was actually dying to go to school this morning. We had gotten ready a little bit early today, and were just killing time before we had to leave home, and she was whining like, “Can we pleeeeease go to school now?!” I love that she loves her school! Today was Junior Gym day though, so I’m sure that had something to do with it!

Y’all, we had such a great night last night! Addie finished her last bottle around 7pm, Jeff held her for a long time, and then I swaddled her and laid her in the Boppy at 8pm. I washed dishes while she just stared around the room, and she fell asleep at 8:30pm. I relocated her to her bassinet in our bedroom around 10:30, and girlfriend slept allllll through the night, until I finally got her up at 6:15am. And even then she was just lightly stirring and not even fully awake yet. That’s the longest she’s gone between bottles and her first true overnight sleep, and I was SO PROUD of her! She ate really well, and then fell back asleep again, until we got to her classroom.
So we were all up and at ’em happily and easily this morning!

Another Monday, another day back at school. You can’t tell because Addie is all covered up, but both girls wore lemon outfits today. I can’t wait to dress my girls in matching clothes all the time now!!

Today was my first day back at church since Addison was born, and Addie’s first day at church ever! Emerson wore a new birthday dress from Grammy, and insisted on wearing her unicorn headband again, and why not!?

After the shortest eight weeks of my life, Addison started school today, and I had to go back to work. Honestly, my two months of maternity leave flew by way too fast, and I was of course not ready to go back to work. But is any new mom ever really ready for that?! Emerson was super excited to have Addison join her at school today, and was making up cute little songs and singing to her on the couch before we left for school. Even though I’ll be doing all the drop-off’s, I made Jeff follow us to school today so we could all go as a family on Addie’s first day. I thought it would be tough (on me!), but I did great, and didn’t even cry! And Addie also did great!

Hi friends, I’m back after a few days of vacation at the beach with the family. And of course it was super fun, but I’m exhausted! I have tons of photos to share (obviously), and it’s late I have some stuff to do tonight still, so this is mostly a photo dump post, with little writing…
