So I went to church early today for worship team rehearsal. That meant Jeff was at home alone getting the girls dressed and ready. I didn’t lay out clothes, so they could each choose, but Addie was apparently insistent on wearing a red wool Christmas sweater dress, and it took some coercion to get her into anything but that. So apparently the compromise was that she wear these Elsa gloves with her unicorn dress 😆

I was craving a buffalo chicken salad for lunch today, so we went to Huey Magoo’s because they have huge delicious salads. The girls think their chicken in too spicy though, so Jeff walked next door to Wendy’s to get thier chicken nuggets, while I ordered salads there for us. And it was indeed a delicious salad.

After lunch, Jeff and Addie headed back home, and Emerson and I ran a few errands. We went to the gas station to fill up my car, and went inside to grab some fun drinks for the afternoon. We went to Walgreens for some makeup, and Publix for a prescription. And today is National Little Free Library day, kicking off National Little Free Library week, so obviously we had to make the rounds to some of our usual spots. We actually hit up four all in the same general area, and each found a couple of books we liked, and left a few behind.

And when we got home, I found little miss Elsa out in the carport doing laundry with Daddy. Still in her itty-bitty heels and cape and everything.

Our Walmart grocery pick-up order was delayed, so I laid down on the couch to read/rest, and fell asleep for a little nap. So Jeff went to get our groceries and the girls just played together, because Addie didn’t wanna take a nap today. So when I woke up, we spent some time cleaning up around the house, tidying here and there, and working on some laundry. I then mixed together a bacon & swiss egg casserole and then worked on my puzzle while dinner was baking in the oven. And this cutie helped me with the bottom corner of the puzzle down there.

Emerson didn’t really wanna puzzle, so she was just kinda staring off into space, and realized that sliding glass door was really dirty, and so she asked if she could clean it! Clearly I wasn’t gonna turn down the help, even if it wasn’t exactly perfect. And little sister couldn’t let the fun pass her by, so they worked on it together.

This like the easiest dinner ever, which is why I make it probably twice a month. It’s delicious, low-carb, healthy and easy, and takes basically no effort on my part to pull it all together.

Back to the puzzle after eating and getting the leftovers put away, and Emerson decided to help me out a tiny bit. The girls then played together for a long time before they had to start getting ready for bed, and were very cute and sweet and funny together. Then we had a little meltdown when Addie straight up refused, multiple times, to throw away a piece of trash and she got in trouble. We all recovered though and were fine, and then got started on bedtime.

I can’t believe the girls only have one week of school left… Last Sunday night that I’ll have prep things for school for a while, although we’ll still have to do similar prep work for summer camp most weeks, but that’s for another day… But for tonight I’ll leave you with this:
Emerson and Jeff are racing together in the BGMC Grand Prix on Sunday, June 7th at Fun Station to help raise money for Kids Camp dorms in rural Alaska through BGMC! ![]()
BGMC (Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge) is a missions program that helps kids support missionaries and projects around the world so more people can hear about Jesus.
