As predicted, this baby girl woke up perfectly fine this morning, and was so sweet! She had some Goldfish & pink milk for her morning snack at home, and insisted on bringing it in the car, and then right on into daycare as well.
When I went to make our pot of coffee at home this morning, I didn’t realize how low on coffee grounds we were. I only had about half of what I needed in order to have enough coffee for both Jeff & me. So instead, Jeff volunteered to stop by Dunkin on the way, and he brought me an iced caramel coffee & a chocolate donut. What a yummy start to this Friday, right?!
For lunch, I picked up Megan at her office a few blocks from me, and then we met Mama at El Jalisco for some chips & salsa & tacos! Delicious, and such a fun time with my two favorite ladies.

You kind of have to okay where’s Waldo with the photo below, but the teacher thought she was funny, because she was sitting in the little doll’s bed!
Jeff got off work early today (he works in the Fletcher building downtown, which is being treated for asbestos this weekend!), so he did some of on-the-side IT work & ran a few errands. Then we met him at home, and we ran out to do some more errands all together, and grab some dinner. (After six weeks of cooking for five or six nights per week, I have now not cooked for the past seven nights in a row. We’ll get back to it this coming week. I’ve already made my meal schedule.)
When we first pulled up to KFC, it was absolutely flooding. So we just sat to wait for a break in the downpour for a few minutes, and this girl was loving the rain!
So last night emmmie only ate cookies for dinner, and then tonight, she ate almost an entire fried chicken breast! Plus biscuit and mashed potatoes.
We had been giving her bite-sized pieces of our chicken, but then she just reached over and picked this up off my plate, and started gnawing on it! I was so surprised! But she really went to town on it!
She again asked for cookies on the couch again, but at least tonight she had eaten plenty of real food first! And just look at this precious, sweet, cheesy face! Ugh I could just eat her up!
Then she wanted to out on her robe and drink pink milk before bedtime. She was in a great mood all night, and I loved all the silly little things she was doing. Tonight was 100% better than last night, so praise the Lord for that! 🙌🏼
She’s just so cute and sweet in her little jammies! She was pretty easy to get to sleep tonight, even though it was about an hour after her bedtime.
We did a few quick chores tonight (tidied the living room, vacuumed, started laundry), so that tomorrow doesn’t have to be crammed full of alllll the chores. Now with a clean living room (for the first time all week), I’ve got some hot tea in my Laurel mug, with my fave Laurel candle burning. I’m feeling comfy cozy, and ready for an episode of “Fringe!”
