Papa’s Birthday Lunch

We were able to sleep in just a little bit, and got up around 7:30am. Not too bad, but I was still tired anyways, and could barely keep my eyes open first thing this morning. Luckily, she’s pretty chill & sweet.

I threw a can of biscuits in the oven, and we just had biscuits & yogurt for breakfast. Easy peasy.

We lazed around for a bit, then finally got up & moving, and did some shopping. We went to Ross for a few specific things, but of course you end up buying way more things than the original three-item list, like a new lunch box for Jeff and a small hand-held broom & dust pan.

Emerson had actually been asking me for Play-Doh this morning, and we randomly found a pack at Ross for only $4.49! She was so excited!

She wanted this chair, but no such luck kiddo.

This popped up in my memories from two years ago!

We met my family for lunch at Dreamland, to celebrate Papa’s birthday. (We got this romper a while back from TJ Maxx, with the bonnet attached to it, for only $4.99! It was actually still a little too big for her today, but it was adorable anyways!)

Papa specific ordered wings today, because he wanted to see Emmie gnaw on a chicken bone like she did last night. She didn’t go at it quite as much today, but she did eat a little bit of it!

Papa got icing on Ellie’s cheek! 😂

Emmie was being so super sweet with the baby girls. (This one is Kensley.)

Riley & her daddy!

One of Megan & Bo’s gift was this box of socks, that’s looks like a box of pizza! So fun!

After lunch, we got Emmie down for a slightly later nap. She slept from about 2-4pm, and so did Jeff and I. It was raining really hard, and it was dark and relaxing inside our cozy house. Then we did “puh-doh!”

Jeff made this “mingo” (which y’all know is one of her current favorite things), and she went crazy over it!

We did a Publix run for this week’s BOGO foods, and grabbed food from their Chinese hot bar for dinner.

She LOVES Chinese noodles.

She was so messy and sticky, we went straight to the bath tub after dinner. Then we got her all dry and dressed in her “cakes!” We rubbed night time lotion on, and I gave her a quick “mani/pedi” (which means I just trimmed all her nails), and then she helped me pick out all of her outfits for the next week.

Jeff went out to finish mowing the yard (is this a never-ending task, or what?!), so I did the bedtime routine by myself, so I had some good, sweet moments with my girl. She gave me lots of kisses, and was being so sweet and silly. I held her and sang along to our lullabies, and then she was out!

I cleaned & tidied up a lot of random stuff around the house while Jeff was still outside, and didn’t sit down to write this until a few minutes after 9pm. It’s been a good day, but now I’m looking forward to a little TV time, then reading before my bedtime!
