Three Cities

The girls did well with their sleepover at Grammy’s last night, and we got to sleep in a little bit this morning. Pennie went on a little car ride with Daddy this morning, to pick up my coffee from Dunkin while I was getting ready.

Then I drove up to Quincy to meet up with the rest of the ladies in the family, and attend my cousin’s baby shower at their church. Love a party with good snacks and finger foods.

We checked out a LFL nearby, but didn’t grab anything.

And of course Addie fell asleep on our drive back to Tally.

Emmie and I made a quick run into Ollie’s to find some birthday presents for her friends’ upcoming parties…

I went all out with a lavish ultra-sweet coffee from 7Brew, using my rewards for a free drink…

And then I drove Emmie up to a dance studio at Bannerman Crossing, for a friends’ birthday party. I stayed to watch for about 15 minutes or so, but there wasn’t really a sitting area, and most of the other moms had headed out, so after watching her learn the start of their little dance routine…

I went out to my parents’ house and my mom and I worked on her puzzle together. This one is actually a Hobbry one that an old friend of ours bought, and then gave to us to let us work/have, because it was too hard and she didn’t wanna do it again. But mom and I had fun doing it together, and made lots of progress on it!

Then after about an hour or so, I headed back to pick her up, and she said they had a great time!

Then we had a long drive from Bannerman over to Havana, down the beautiful canopy roads in north Tallahassee, which I love.

Nana made us her famous chicken & rice casserole (which I have now made a zillion times myself through the years), plus green beans and I made a Caesar salad.

The girls ran around the backyard for a while playing together, and then had their brownie and ice cream out on a little towel in the grass, before the bugs started making dessert out of us.

They were sweet when we got home, and ready for bedtime. They’re both tucked up together in Emmie’s room, and they both fell asleep easily. I got started on this puzzle last night, but it took me so long to lay out all 1000 pieces, that I didn’t even finish the edge because I was too tired.

So now I’m gonna work on that a little bit, but today was such a crazy busy day, driving here, there and everywhere in three different cities, so I may not be awake much longer at this point…
