Sushi & Springs

Today was Emmie’s last day at East Hill summer camp. She’s had such an amazing seven weeks there this summer, and I am endlessly thankful that I was able to get her in there, so she could relive my childhood summers, and have such a great faith-based camp experience!

But Emmie only went to camp for a couple of hours, and then she got picked up early by brothers and daddy. They had planned to go to the springs today, and they wanted her to go with them. But she didn’t want to completely miss her last day at camp, so that’s why she went for a couple of hours first. So they packed up,  hit the road, and had lunch first at Blondie’s, in Grand Ridge, recommended by my friend from work who lives over in Jackson County. And then they had a great time at Blue Hole Springs in Marianna!

Meanwhile, Mama and I went out to lunch at Siam Sushi, and had delicious lunch and such a nice time together. I hadn’t had sushi in months, and as soon as she suggested it as an option, I was instantly craving it so much, and it really hit the spot.

And little Addie Pie had a fun day at school.

I actually got stuck at work 30 minutes late this afternoon, so by the time I picked up Addison and got home with her, Jeff, Emmie and the boys had just gotten home a few minutes before I did. So I got working on some chicken nuggets and Velveeta for dinner, and then we all had one last meal together, before the boys go home tomorrow.

We had some playtime and some tv time, and then got the girls ready for bedtime.

The boys have been packing up their clothes and their stuff and whatever else, and then we’re gonna all settle down and watch a show together, until I inevitably fall asleep on the couch… We’ve had such a great week with them here, and we’re going to miss them when they leave. But Gabe is a drum major in his high school marching band, and Ryan is a senior leader in the ROTC & his rifle team, so they’ve both had a busy summer already, and still have some more camps and trainings left to go. We’ll be looking forward to having them come back around the holidays in a few months!
