Today was my day to serve in GC Kids, so I was at church early today, and Jeff and the girls went by Dunkin before they came on to church as well.
And we had a great day in GC Kids! Today was the last day with our former fifth graders that are moving on to GC Youth in sixth grade. But we’re also welcoming our new kindergartner’s, one of which is my sweet Addie Pie!
We ran home after church to change clothes and grab towels, and then had a super fast lunch at Jersey Mike’s. I tried their new chicken salad sandwich, and it was really good.
Then we went over to Gilchrist for the kindergarten splash party! We were a little late coming from church and lunch, so they were grouping up for a big photo right as we got there, and Addie wasn’t quite warmed up yet and wouldn’t let go of Daddy, so the Vice Principle said he could just stay with her. But after that, she finally got in the water and found a friend and had fun playing!
After the craziness and super hot temperatures at the school, we headed to Grammy’s house to actually cool off and decompress in the pool.
We had bath time and dinner time there too, and then loaded up to head back towards home. We stopped at a LFL along the way, and also went by Walmart to get our weekly grocery order.
I hopped in the shower too once we got home and had the groceries put away, and the girls watched a little tv show before bedtime. Emmie was very easy to get to sleep, and Jeff is still currently sitting in the chair next to Addie’s bed, trying to get her totally asleep before he sneaks out…
