Both my little beauties wanted to just repeat-wear the same dresses they had on at dinner last night, so why not!?
After church, Emerson’s GC Girls class from Wednesday nights put on a skit in the GC kids room for all the parents and our pastors and their families. They each memorized a few lines, and had costumes and props, and created set designs and everything! They each earned a badge for their program for this skit. It was cute and they did a great job!

Jeff was running sound and lights for the skit, and at the end, Hayden was back there with him learning the ropes. He’ll be our new sound tech in no time.

We grabbed a quick lunch on the way home, and then had a little quiet movie rest time, finishing up the puzzle and watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I did all of this by myself up until this point, but once I had only the tan & brown parts of the building left, I had to call in reinforcements to help me finish…

After rest time, we spent about an hour or so cleaning up more in the girls’ bedrooms. Emerson and I worked in her room, gathering up a couple small bags of trash, and a large trash bag of stuff to donate. Jeff and Addison worked in her room, cleaning out her dresser drawers, because she recently dumped a whole thing of loose-leaf glitter alllll in the drawers. So they took everything out and vacuumed out the drawers, and tomorrow we’ll go through the clothes to rotate out the small stuff and get in some more hand-me-downs out of the closet.
And then it was time to head to Nana and PopPop’s house for a little bit of play time and dinner time. The girls play hi-ho cherry-o for a little bit, and then we had tacos with rice & beans for dinner, followed by fruit & strawberry dip for dessert. I then fell asleep bundled up on the couch, while the girls played some more. They had a bath before we left though, and Addison fell asleep on the ride home.

Everyone was ready for bedtime when we got home, and Pennie was happy to have her people back home.

I need to go handle a few things to get us ready for our last week of summer camp, so we can hopefully have a smooth morning tomorrow.
