Silly Goose

These two silly goose girls were ready for their first full week back to school!

If you can’t tell, the back of their shirts say, “Silly goose on the loose!” 🪿🪿

And these three had a nice, easy drop-off on this Monday morning!

And I went into work toting both a hardcover book, and my Kindle, so I’d be ready for whatever I felt like reading on my lunch break. I did go with the Kindle book today, since I have two library Kindle books due soon so I need to try to finish those up.

I was a few weeks behind sharing my July reading tracker, but I did finally get around to working on that today during my lunch break as well.

For dinner tonight, I made copy-cat KFC bowls, with mashed potatoes, corn, popcorn chicken, cheese and gravy. Never actually done this myself before, but obviously it was super easy. This was my mom’s idea when she was helping me plan out my groceries and meals while in the pool at her house last week. And this was a hit with the fam tonight!

Not low-carb, but very yummy and comforting, and super quick and easy.

I got all of this progress done last night while watching a documentary on Lilith Fair (I think I found it on Hulu?), which made me very nostalgic for all the 90’s hit songs and music.

And tonight after dinner, I kinda got into a flow-state with it, and got a lot more done. The girls both wanted to come help a little too. And while Emmie can truly put a few pieces in, I have to find some for Addie and show her where to place it and how to rotate it if she gets it mixed up. But they’re both so cute and into it, it’s very precious.

Addie told me at first she didn’t want me to read her a story, that she just wanted to look at some pictures. So that’s what she did at first, and then changed her mind and wanted me to read the Toy Story bedtime story in this big book of bedtime stories.

Jeff got her down to sleep in her bed tonight (it never actually happened last night), so we’re on the countdown now to see how long it lasts for the night!

I washed up some dishes earlier while dinner was cooking, but I need to get back in there and take care of some more, before I can fully veg out and relax the rest of the night.
