Another shot & quick post tonight, considering it’s almost 11:30 pm already! Happy girls on a Friday morning 🙂

Addison loves her teacher so very much!

Today at school, Emerson and the rest of the third graders had a superstar rock & roll day, full of a car-parade from some of the parents, a rock & roll dance party, special t-shirts & VIP passes and rock star sunglasses, plus fun treats and games and activities. All to hype them up for their annual assessment testing coming up next week. I stole this screenshot from an Instagram video on Gilchrist’s page, and looks like she had a super fun day!

Lunch from the Filipino food truck today with an old friend who recently started working at DOC and I just randomly bumped into in the break room a little while back, on my way to the free ice & water machine. Lunch was so yummy, and it was also good just to sit and chat with her and catch up together!

Here’s my April reading tracker. It was a high quantity of books, but 6 of them were from a short story collection from Amazon.

Tonight, we had an event at church called Marriage One Night, which was a little one-night marriage conference thing. We had games, giveaways, a Q&A panel (which Jeff and I were asked to be on, representing marriage from 5-15 years), worship (and I sang on the worship team), a photo booth, and then ended the night with a silent disco and a dessert bar! Low quality photo, but high quality night! 😂

We had childcare for the kids during the event at church, but that meant that it was super late by the time we all finished and went home. It was 10:30 when we started on bedtime, and even though my parents (who were in charge of the dessert) had supplied the girls with plenty of sugar at 10pm before we left, they were still exhausted enough to fall straight to sleep. And now that’s it’s past my bedtime too, I’m ready to crawl into bed!
