On accident, they were kind of wearing reverse colors in their outfits today – pink top and blue shorts for Emmie, and the reverse pink shorts and blue top for Addie. Emerson noticed that while they were taking their morning sister pics together.

Loved this sunshine smiley squinty girl at pickup time this afternoon.

I was actually supposed to have book club tonight, but out of the 11 of us in the group, five of us couldn’t make it at the last minute today. And of the six left, only three of us had finished the book 😆 So instead, our “fearless leader” (the one who always organizes everything) sent a few discussion questions, and we all just texted back and forth a lot in our big group thread with all of our thoughts and opinions. And it was actually a good text discussion!
And since I hadn’t been planning to cook tonight, I didn’t have anything planned, so we were gonna just run to Culver’s for kids meals and free ice creams (they come with the kids meals!), but Emerson was literally chanting for Venebites (after we had discussed it a couple of nights ago), so we decided to just go for it and splurge for a nice meal out. And it was so worth it! Their patio is full of beautiful plants, and the weather felt so nice, and the food was just as delicious as always.

Jeff and I both had the arepa de pabellon (which we also added a layer of queso frito), and the girls both had mini versions of the arepa jamon & queso. And we shared a tiny order of tiny churros, but forgot to take a picture until there was only one left. It only comes with 6 of these little guys, but they are stuffed with caramel and come with a cup of Nutella for dipping, and are sooo good!

I don’t know where she got these bubbles from, but as soon as we got out of the car at home, Addie just stood there blowing bubbles until the tiny tube was empty.

Emerson made this little contraption in her gifted class at school a few weeks ago. It was their interpretation of some sort of Mars rover vacuum situation that would suck up space rocks to investigate. (Or something like that 🙂 ) So tonight she asked me where to put it, and I said, “If you wanna keep it, you can put it in your room!” So then she decided to go ahead and recycle it, if I would just take a picture of it first. So obviously I told her yes to that idea!

We had just a little bit of down time in the living room when we got home, and then it was time to get started on bedtime. Jeff was outside working on the car, so we had to do a one-parent-put-down, so all the girls got to cuddle up in our bed for a while.

And everyone fell asleep so sweetly!

I’m refusing to do any chores tonight, just cuz I’m really not in the mood, thank you very much…
