They had a pep rally at school today to get them excited for their upcoming “Great Grizzly Run,” so they were supposed to wear the grizzly red for spirit day. Luckily, we recently uncovered Addie’s kindergarten shirt that had gotten buried in her disaster of a room, and Emmie had a clean shirt we had just recently folded and put away.
Don’t know what these goofy faces are that Addie was making today though, I was just glad for happy girls!

So tonight would have been a Wednesday church night, but we were getting a new a/c unit installed and it wasn’t functional yet in time for church. So all Wednesday night services and activities were cancelled. So since I didn’t have anything planned to cook for dinner, we went out to try a new food truck over on Magnolia, called Urban Foods. It’s a New York style Halal truck with chicken & rice platters, wraps & gyros. The girls shared a chicken & rice platter, and Jeff and I both got chicken shawarma wraps. The food was good, but the white garlic sauce that came with it was honestly my favorite part. It was good, but I’m not exactly dying to go back or anything I guess…

Jeff and the girls took Pennie on a little mini walk up the street after dinner once we got home, while I took care of some things around the house.

I got the girls into the shower once they were back home, and then we did tv time and bedtime, and they were asleep very quickly. I finished the “Little Women” series last night on Netflix, so tonight, I started watching the “Mr. & Mrs. Murder” documentary on Hulu, which is about a Tallahassee murder mystery situation! It’s SO weird seeing b-roll footage of places you know, and drive by all the time, but especially weird seeing old clips of them from their time back in high school in the 90’s at NFC, where I went to school! So strange, but a very interesting case and story…
