Runner Girls

This week’s camp theme was “space,” so we dug out their Star Wars dresses from Halloween last year, so they could be Rey & Leia again! Both dresses were a bit shorter than they were nine months ago, but still very cute. They were missing their home-made lightsabers though, since those were made of pool noodles and construction paper and have been played with a lot since then.

And this week was Emerson’s turn to earn the Cool Camper award for her group at camp! Addie got it last week, and now Emmie got it this week. So proud of my sweet girls being so cool! 🙂

Tonight was breakfast for dinner, but lemme tell ya, I’m over eggs for a while after this… just got the egg ick while eating tonight, so I need a break!

Jeff was outside doing yard work during dinner time, so the girls and I went out to watch him and we took Pennie out with us. The three of them were just going wild, having so much fun as little runner girls all over the front yard!

This outfit she dressed herself in was just cracking me up, with the tiniest little shorts and the sparkly rain boots. Plus of course the headphones because the lawn mower is too loud for her delicate tiny ears.

They got so sweaty and grassy out running around, that we had to do a quick emergency bath to get them cleaned up for bedtime. But as we settled down in the living room, we realized the sky was a cool color, so we had to go check it out for ourselves, and Addie said it was “So pretty ten-hundred!”

Then as Jeff was taking his turned getting cleaned up in the shower, we did a modified one-parent-put-down. I literally taught them what spooning means tonight, and the loved it and agreed it was so cozy. They were all sweet and smiley when they first cuddled up.

And then legitimately fell asleep like this, so super sweetly. After only prayers and one song, they were both totally out. Then when Jeff was ready, he took care of Addie, and went to Emmie’s room with her.

I’m finishing up the season one finale episode of “Every Year After,” which has been SO good. A great show that’s actually just as good if not better than the book. Wish the second season was out already, actually. But there’s plenty of other shows on my list to catch up on or start for the first time… 🙂
