Love these adorable morning sister pics with my baby girls.

And this morning, Addie told me she LIKED the drop-off we did yesterday, with them just hopping out of the car on their own, and that made me so happy! And they did great doing that again today, and Addie was obviously very proud of herself, and stopped just right outside my window after getting out, so obviously I had to snap another quick photo.

I had a mid-morning doctor’s appointment today, to do the DNA genetic cancer-probably testing. I had a few minutes to read in the waiting room, and then I just had to spit in a tube about five times and I was done in 60 seconds.

And then I wanted lunch from a food truck, but it was 11:20, and they weren’t open until 11:30, but I headed that way anyways. But I saw a sign for a morning estate sale, and when I put the address into Google Maps, it was literally 2 minutes away, so I thought, “Hey, a little bit of thrifting on a Thursday in the middle of day?! Why not?!” And I lucked out finding two pristine Vera Bradley purses (that brown and blue pattern was my pattern way back in the day in like 2006 when I had so many pieces all in the same pattern), and once cute basket for cutlery and napkins.

By that point, the Nicaraguan food truck was open, so I went by to put in an order for lunch. I waited in my car in the a/c for 10 minutes, and took my food back to the office to actually eat. This is only my second time eating here – the first time I did the grilled pork which was super good, and today I did the carne asada, and that was super delicious as well. Honestly, both are so good, I don’t know which is my fave, but probably the steak. And I’m obsessed with that little relish and that vinegar-y simple cabbage & carrot salad.

Oh and I tried fried plantains today instead of sweet. Both are good, just depends on what you’re in the mood for. Fried is crispy and salty, and obviously sweet is soft and sweet.

Then tonight, after picking up the girls from camp and taking them home, I left them there with Jeff, and I went out to book club. I tried so hard to finish the book on time, reading every spare minute this week, but I still had 10-15 pages unfinished. The girls who finished though filled in the last bits of plot for me (including who all died at the end), and we had a great discussion. We always spend a good amount of time discussing the book, and then it devolves into so much other random stuff, but it’s always so fun and funny and such a great time!

When we walked out tonight, I was like, “Oh wow look at the sky!” And Meg was like, “Oh wow yeah, and I just know you’re gonna take a picture of it!” So I pulled out my phone and made a big deal about getting a pic.

And then I just liked the raindrops on my front window with the sunset happening in the background on the way home.

Addison was asleep by the time I got home, but Emerson was laying on the couch watching Moana quietly, waiting on me to get home. So I took her to bed to do prayers and her lullaby playlist, and she was totally out in just a few minutes. I do still need to finish the last few pages of that book though, so I can officially call that one completed.
