Today was finally the first day both girls were at East Hill! And Emmie’s first day there this summer! She was a little nervous about her arm, but I talked to the counselors and they understood and said they would help her out whenever she needs it. She also packed a little bag with a notepad and pens, so she can kinda sit down and doodle whenever they play something she can’t participate in. And Addie was just so happy to have her big sissy there now too!

Mama and I met up for lunch together at Hopkins Eatery today. (Meg couldn’t join us like usual though.) Mom got there early and ordered our lunches for both of us. She got the classic chef salad, and I got their cashew chicken salad. I’ve tried a bunch of menu items there through the years since it’s one of our favorite go-to spots, but this was my first time getting that. It was a big scoop of their cashew chicken salad, on top of a bed of lettuce with bell peppers & onions on top, and their house salad dressing. And it was very good!! We dove right in though, and I somehow forgot to take a photo of the salads. Loved my special time with my Mama today though!

And that’s all I’ve got for today! It was a quick read with just two tiny pics… We had an easy dinner at home, the girls played together for a while, and I accidentally fell asleep on the couch at 8pm. I woke up when it was time to put the girls to bed, and I got Emmie down to sleep very easily while Jeff got Addie to sleep. I started Carley Fortune’s newest book yesterday (just released last month), and I’m about 20% in and already very into it. Will probably try to read a little bit before bedtime now, since I’ll probably pass out again pretty soon…
