I love how beautiful my girlies looked this morning. Both just seemed extra pretty in nice clothes with freshly brushed hair and smiling so lovely.
They wanted a sister pic with Pennie, but the wiggle-butt-girl wouldn’t sit still with them, so this is all we could get.
After work today, Jeff stopped by a slam-packed Aldi, to stock up on some extra pantry staples, bread & fruit, for some hurricane prep. I filled my car with gas, and I’m gonna get cash tomorrow. I’ve started filling up bottles & containers with water from home, and Jeff is going to do some outside-prep tomorrow afternoon. Honestly, as a life-long Floridian, I don’t normally worry too much about hurricanes. But this one has me nervous. I know we’re gonna lose power, and I think our house will be safe, but I’m worried about how long we’ll be without electricity, and all the potential damage around town. It is predicted to come straight for us here in Tally, so please be praying for the Florida Big Bend!
While Jeff was dealing with the crowds at Aldi, I went home with the girls and made dinner. I did chicken nuggets for the girls, and a chicken wrap for me with lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles and garlic parmesan sauce. Plus some mac & cheese, and our current favorite lima beans, which the girls just love.
Then after dinner, I didn’t want to potentially lose these cookies if we lost power, so I baked up a couple of packs I bought a while back and hadn’t yet baked. 😉 The pumpkin spice ones are delish, but the girls didn’t like them. But luckily, they of course loved the sugar cookies with pumpkins on them.
Emmie was super super tired, but Addie wanted to come in and cuddle her and love her and she was just so smiley and giggly, and Emmie just laid there being so sleepy.
I’m gonna start up a load of laundry, so we can try to get as much of our stuff clean now, while we still have power before the storm comes on Thursday.
