Popsicles in the Pool

So I actually finished this puzzle, with some work from Jeff too, a few nights back, but just now took the photo earlier this morning.

And even if Emerson puts together only like two puzzle pieces, she still wants to be the one to try picking it up and showing it off.

We spent basically the whole morning just working on laundry – washing, drying, folding, putting away, but we didn’t get to the hanging up yet. We did fold like five or six loads though, because we were a bit behind. But we scrounged up lunch and then got ourselves dressed and ready, and went over to Grammy & Papa’s house for some pool time! And obviously on our first family pool day of the summer, we had to have popsicles in the pool!

We had dinner all together, and then after Meg’s family left, we put our girls in the bath tub and hung out a while longer. Addie was worn out though, so of course she fell asleep on the way home.

Grammy sent us home with a bag of mixed veggies leftover from our church pool party last night, and the girls and I dug into it when we got home for a bedtime snack.

Both girls were super tired and fell asleep quickly and easily. I had some internet issues on the computer tonight when I first started working on my post tonight, so it took a while to get it all under control, but I persevered in the end. Gonna repaint my fingernails now, and then read a little bit on the couch before my own bedtime.
