Playing Peek-A-Boo

Today was the first day of Emerson’s last day at Growing Room. So I’m sure you can imagine the mix of emotions about that I’m feeling this week! Both girls were sweet and had a good drop-off though, despite the bittersweet feelings I’m dealing with in this regard.

And looks like they had a good day at school like usual.

At work today, my friend Amanda loaded up her backseat FULL of watermelons to share. So we walked down to the car to grab one during our morning break and threw it in or own cars, so it rode home in the front seat with me today.

We had some cheese ravioli with Caesar salad and rolls for dinner, and everyone cleaned their plates. The girls also played peek-a-boo during diner, but Addie doesn’t always get it quite right, and still has one eye exposed most of the time. She’s so adorable about it though 🙂

We had a good amount of playtime together after dinner in Addison’s room, doing all sorts of tricks, and loving on each other, with lots of tickles involved.

Jeff was tickling Emerson SO much, and she was dying laughing…

Then Addison walked over and laid down in front of him, so that he would tickle her too, and they were both just dying laughing.

Emmie and I read a chapter of Matilda during our bedtime routine, and Jeff and Addie both fell asleep rocking in the recliner.

It was nice to get both girls to sleep easily tonight, and even Jeff went to sleep early, because he stayed up way too late last night doing his side job IT work. So I’m going to go wash dishes, and watch “Survivor” on my phone propped up in the windowsill while I work, and then probably read a little bit of my current Kindle book before I go to sleep.
