Onion Tarte

To wrap up the end of Mega Sports Camp last week, Emerson was dying to go back to Generations Church this morning, so we all went together as a little family. It was her first official time in GC Kids (instead of the preschool area), and she was so excited and loved it so much

Addie also had a great time in her little toddler class…

And I absolutely LOVED getting to watch Megan on the praise team, and especially the one song she specifically led by herself. It brought tears to my eyes to watch her! (Click here, and check out the 11-minute mark to hear her lead her song.)

We went out to lunch with Megan, Bo & the trips, and their friends Brent (their worship pastor) & his wife Renae and their kids, at Tijuana Flats. Honestly, I didn’t love my meal, but I loved the company!

It was flooding outside during lunch, so after trying to wait it out for quite a while, we ended up just getting everyone loaded up in the rain, so we could head home and get the sleepiest baby down for her long overdue nap. Emerson and I both laid down and napped as well, but Jeff went back to do some more of his side-job-IT-work stuff for the day.

The girls and I had some playtime after nap time, and although I had been wanting a solo trip to Trader Joe’s for groceries this week, I ended up just taking the girls with me to Aldi, and the trip went really smooth actually, but we did buy way more than way needed…

New shoes she’s finally growing into!

Can’t wait to try out this bad boy! I chop a LOT of vegetables, and onions specifically, so I’m looking forward to using this, and hopefully it helps with those very busy weeknight dinners. And it was only $9.99!

I made some frozen chicken nuggets for the girls for dinner, and made myself this little flatbread tarte I had in the freezer from Trader Joe’s that I’ve been waiting to try. It was super delicious, but so thin & tiny, and I wished I would have had an entire second flatbread because I was still hungry. I should have made myself a salad to go with it…

Nana got us a big box of these apple sauce pouches when we went to Costco yesterday, and Addison LOVED it tonight. She finished one, and saw Emerson eating one, and wanted more. So we got her a second one, and still wanted more, so she ended up eating half of Emerson’s pouch too!

After Addison pulled her lamp off the low bookshelf the other night, then Jeff glued it back together, I relocated it tonight to a high shelf so that hopefully it doesn’t get broken again. And despite the cord there, I think it looks really cute up on the shelf.

We had some more playtime after dinner in Addison’s room, and Emerson colored in the living room watching her current favorite show, “Polly Pocket” on Netflix.

We went through the whole bedtime routine, and although Addison was super easy peasy and fell asleep after me rocking her for just a few minutes, Emerson was clingy and emotional and needed lots of love and cuddles. So we went and laid down in my bed together, listening to our sound machine and some calm music, and then she was finally ready to go lay down and go to sleep. I’ve got some chores and stuff to take care of first, and then I’m heading back to work on my puzzle some more.
