Peanut Butter Ramen

So today was supposed to be Emmie’s dentist appointment, after last week’s hoopla… But CVS never actually filled the prescription we needed, so we still didn’t get to go again today, which we didn’t even realize until first thing this morning. So Emmie was sad for a bit, but I reassured her again that we’d reschedule, and I promised her she’d get to go to the dentist soon. What a mess… But she perked up when I let her pick out her own outfit for school, including the Halloween pants and Halloween Paw Patrol shirt

And this little lemon baby was in a great mood this morning, after sleeping all night long!

My work friends and I went out to lunch today at Food Glorious Food, for a tiny little “Friendsgiving” lunch. It was my first time there, although I’ve wanted to go for the longest time. This buffalo chicken sandwich was huge and delicious, and the potato soup I got on the side was not what I would normally pick (I just usually don’t pick a potato soup…?), but I really liked it a lot too.

Jeff took this selfie of him and Pretzel during his lunch break today, and then this super cute one of the pupper too.

When I got to school to pick up the girls after work, Addison was snoozing away in her crib, and as always, she looked adorable and I hated to wake her up!

We’re still scavenging our dinner around here for a few days, so tonight I had slightly jazzed up peanut butter ramen noodles, and it turned out delicious. I’d seen this “recipe” from some of our favorite YouTuber’s and I loved trying it out tonight. I might even have this same thing for dinner again tomorrow night, if no other options present themselves from the cabinets 😉

Addie had a bottle of milk with Daddy while I ate, and then I got to hold her and play with her while he ate his corn dogs. She was so sweet and playful and just wanted to move.

And girlfriend is CRAWLING now!!! They got a video of her doing at school today, like a few feet across the room, and then tonight, she crawled all the way across the living room, from this white chair on the right, across to the sliding glass door on the other side of the room! She’s very slow, and does this exaggerated arm/leg lift that Jeff said looks like a sloth moving, and he’s right, but she did it!

We were so proud of her, that we took this very low quality, very ridiculous-looking family selfie

Emmie did really good at bedtime tonight, and was sweet and easy to get down. Addie was also super tired after all that crawling, so once Jeff put her in what we call the “daddy sleeper hold,” she was out like a light in just a few quick minutes. We did the handoff and switched girls, and I just sat there holding her and staring at her for like, 30 minutes, before finally laying her down in her crib. She’ll probably need another bottle before we go to sleep for the night, but we’ll get to that later…

I’ve been re-watching the “folklore: the long pond studio sessions” with Taylor Swift on Disney+ for only the second time, these past two nights while I blog, and I’ve been treating it like a sing-along and just really enjoying it.

Daycare closes early tomorrow for the Thanksgiving break, so I’m taking off early to pick up the girls by 3pm. So I’m looking forward to a short day of work, and then starting our long holiday “weekend!”
