Addison is Officially Crawling!

Today has been a great day! A short day of work and school, and then a nice playground date with my big girl, and then playtime with my newly-crawling baby girl!

There are so many goofy photos of Addison from this morning, and I just couldn’t make any cuts, because they’re all hilarious and goofy and cute!

I recently found this little individual-sized bowl of microwave sticky rice, and it was perfect in the infamous TikTok “salmon” rice bowl, but made with the Thai chili style tuna for me.

I had to stop for some gas this afternoon on my way to work, and since I left work early, before my usual 3pm-afternoon-coffee time at the office, I ran inside the Shell for some gas station cappuccino. It reminded me of when I used to always get gas station cappuccino with my Granddaddy at the Flyin’ J in Midway, in his reusable Flyin’ J travel mug that was so old the logo had rubbed off. I always loved getting those drinks with him, and we always called them “cappachinto’s.” This one wasn’t great, but it brought up great memories.

We picked up a small grocery order after I got the girls, and then took it all home to get the cold stuff in the fridge. I got Addison to sleep and laid her down in her crib to nap while Jeff was still working-from-home, and then Emmie and I had a really fun time down at the park by our house. It had warmed up just enough to feel nice without being hot, and it was just beautiful in the late-afternoon sunshine!

And I loved creating this adorable little video of her playing and being so brave on the playset!

And then this was a fun little time-lapse of our walk back down the boardwalk towards the playground, after watching the ducks and the geese.

Addie girl was awake when we got back home, so I fed her a bottle, and then we had some play time back in her room, watching her crawl around all over the place. She is getting so good, and getting better so quickly!

Once Daddy came back to join in on the playtime, I was able to hang up a bunch of the next size clothes from Emmie’s hand-me-downs, to get stuff ready for Addie for the winter.

Then I worked on editing that playground video for a little bit, and called Emmie to the computer to show her, and she loved it! She was like, “Wow that’s so cool, Mommy! I like the music!” Addie played in her swing, and we all scrounged for our dinner again for our third night in a row. I had ramen again, and Emmie cleaned out her bowl of oatmeal (along with who even remembers how many other random little snacks…). And then Emerson and I just cuddled on the couch for a long time watching tv, while Jeff held Addison and got her back to sleep.

Emmie went to bed easily and sweetly, and then I fed Addie another bottle and got some sleepy snuggles for myself.

Jeff helped me finish up all the videos (he helped even out the audio and the songs), and then I could finally get started on this post. I told Jeff I loved having all the videos, but I always get frustrated to blog on the nights with videos because it’s just so much work and takes so long, but they look great at least! It’s been such a chill week, and I’ve really enjoyed just kind of being a little lazy and taking it easy. Tomorrow will be full and busy, but it’ll be a great, delicious family holiday!
