Patient Maraschino

So happy for a Friday together, both sporting their Grizzly red shirts, complete with their Pennie dog for the sister pic today!

And I left the house extra early today to go by The Frother’s Daughter, for today’s special coffee, the Patient Maraschino. Always have to celebrate and commemorate a new Taylor Swift music release day with a Frother’s special! And this one with the cherry & caramel was super good. (It was also my lucky day there, because I was literally the only one there when I walked up, so it was super quick and easy.)

Also, weather this morning was just absolutely perfect, and so I sat in my car with the windows down just enjoying the cool breeze, for as long as possible, before needing to walk into the office.

 

Jeff got the girls to school like usual, and Addison’s “big buddy” was the safety patrol opening their car door, today, and they were both so sweet and excited to see other this morning.

I had wiped up everything I could yesterday, so my friend and pictures and tiny table were all cleaned up. Then the sweet maintenance lady came in with the carpet steamer today to clean my chili carpet, and she got it so fresh and clean, just like new again.

When I picked up the girls after school, Emerson was like, “I want to go to Costco for dinner! And I want to make a coke float there!” We didn’t have any other dinner plans, so I called Jeff to meet us there, and we went wild, ordering about $20 of food (including a chicken bake to bring home to reheat another day), for dinner and desserts.

Back at home, we got busy re-cleaning our old table that had been sitting in the carport for the past week. I had posted it for sale on Facebook Marketplace, and a young couple came by to pick it up. Turns out, they are also a Gilchrist family, so that was funny.

They actually didn’t need/want the chairs, but they got the table all loaded up, and she sent the money via Venmo, and we sent them on their way! Glad that worked out so easily. We put the chairs out on the side of the road after they left around 7:30, and by 9:30, they had already been picked up by whoever…

Then we just stayed outside until it was dark, enjoying the perfect weather and squeezing out every last drop of fun playtime this evening.

We got ready for bed and cleaned up a tiny bit, and then settled down to stream Toy Story 5 for the first time! We never saw it in theaters, so this is our first watch. We got about 20 or so minutes in, and then we’re gonna save the rest for afternoon movie rest time tomorrow. Pennie was so funny though, sitting in front of us, resting her head on the coffee table, also watching the movie with us.

Bedtime was quick and easy again tonight and both girls fell asleep with no problems. Addie is still doing well in the trundle in Emmie’s room. She usually ends up in Emmie’s bed with her at some point in the night, but she at least stays in the same room. So hey, that’s a win for Jeff and I at least! And maybe at some point, we’ll be able to get her to stay in her own room, but this is a step in the right direction for now…

I’m currently watching the RayGun documentary on Netflix. Very interesting situation, very interesting doc. I love mixing these kinds of random docs in between more serious ones or long-running series, as quick things to watch here and there. And this was a good one!
