Very big smiles from these cuties on a Thursday morning!
Unfortunately, I made a big mess by spilling one of those stupid tiny frozen healthy chili meals when getting it out of the microwave. It actually burned me through my dress it was so hot! But I was just so mad at the whole situation, and having to pick up beans off the carpet on my hands and knees. Also had to wipe it off the front of my fridge and pictures. I put in a maintenance request though, so hopefully they’ll come and actually clean up tomorrow, so I don’t have stinky carpet chili forever…

The student council vote has not yet taken place at Gilchrist, but this week, they each recorded their speech to show on the Grizzly News, and luckily a teacher-friend sent us this today, so we got to see it too!
This morning, I put dinner in the crockpot, so everything would be ready when we got home. I kinda of made up a recipe, a mish-mash of a few things, for a creamy chicken bacon ranch soup with potatoes & corn. Then we topped it bacon bits as well, and ate it with some buttered toast. Turned out very flavorful and filling!

Addie Pie had said she wasn’t feeling good on the way home, but I think she was just tired and hungry, leading to hangry. She told me at first she didn’t even want any soup, and would only eat toast. So I told her I’d make her a tiny bowl of soup, just in case. Well, she ate her entire bowl, and her first piece of toast, and wanted more! So I spooned some out of my own bowl for her, and filled up her small bowl again. And then she finished that helping, and stole my second piece of toast, and ended up eating more out of her sister’s bowl as well! She was truly just super hungry!

After dinner, Jeff and Addison took Pennie on a little walk up the street, since the weather was actually nice this evening.

And I took Emerson to her gymnastics class, where I finished up another book tonight. (This was the first page of the final chapter.)

After gym, Addie was already asleep by the time we got home, but Emmie needed herself a second dinner. She chose a very odd assortment of things, leftover basmati rice, pickles (simply to sip the juice, not to actually eat), and a granola bar. But she loved her weird combo, and she loved the start of The Lizzie McGuire movie, which we watched about 20 minutes of before her bedtime.

Emmie fell asleep easily enough once I got her laying down, and I transferred Addie from our bed to her trundle in Emmie’s room, and she stayed asleep the whole time.
