My silly girl wanted to start the morning with some plain potato chips. And since she doesn’t take “no” very well sometimes, we just went for it! She only ate a few though, before she was done.

Started a new audio book on the way to school today, My Kitchen Year. This is my third book this year by this author, and I’m just loving all of them! She has been a restaurant critic for the New York Times and editor of Gourmet Magazine, and she’s also written 10 books. Most of her recipes are a bit too much for me (I mean they sound delicious, but are a bit above my skill & ingredient level), but I love listening to her talk about food!

It seemed only fitting to wear this new outfit today, after Emerson’s obsession with her inflatable flamingo over the weekend. We’ve actually had this outfit for a few months (Garanimals brand, from Walmart), but it was too big for her at 12-month size. And even though it’s still a little too big, she was so excited about the “mingo’s!”

Ms. Kristin surprised Emerson this morning, with a new book about frogs! Emmie has been really excited about frogs lately, and Ms. Kristin found this one in the school library, and said it was for Emmie to take home! She was very into it.

First off, look at this little “then & now” comparison photo Google made. On the left, she was only about 4 or 5 months old, verses 23½ months on the right! So different! So sassy now!
