Our day started out great with a Mother’s Day breakfast at church,

I asked Addison these questions and filled out what she said, and a few of these made me crack up. Emerson did hers on her own, and the funny thing is, her and Ellie both said they like when Megan and I make meatballs 😆

We had a great church service, which included getting to sit in the row with both my mom and my sister today! We had special guest speaker who did a great job, and we had special prayer time in little groups with our families, and of course, mom, Meg and I were all crying together by that point. Afterwards, they had this very cute little Bloom Bar set up, where we could put together our own bouquet of flowers to take home. (Thank you, Rebecca, for sharing your photos of the little truck with me!)

We were also lucky to have Jeff’s parent’s at church with us today, which was another special part of the day!

Then we had a big huge lunch with my parents, my in-laws, and Megan’s in-laws as well, like one big happy family at Milano’s. Mama got me this little gift for Mother’s Day, she knows I always love some good Bath & Body Works products.

Addie and Hayden are always playing together, but today at lunch they were just kinda obsessed with each other. And in this pic, they look more like siblings than cousins! Actually, this past Wednesday night at church, she was crying to go into the nursery to see him, and said something about, “I wanna see my baby brother!” One of the volunteers heard her and was confused like, “She has a brother??” And our friend who heard corrected her like, “No, it’s her cousin actually.” But Addie has just always heard Meggie and the trips call him “baby brother,” and so that’s what she’s always thought he was to her, too!

Ellie kept saying she was tired, and when Emmie got up out of her seat, Ellie laid down like this. I kinda rubbed her hair and scratched her head, and I don’t know if she was actually asleep or not, but she did lay here like this super still for like 10 minutes.

On our way home after lunch, I spotted this unmapped LFL, so I made Jeff do a u-turn to bring me back to check it out. And I snagged a few good ones!

Addison and I laid down for a nap together when we got home, and didn’t get up until 5:30. By that point, I slowly shuffled to the living room and took up my spot on the heating pad in the living room, so I could just chill and rest. I gave Jeff some instructions to cook dinner, and he took care of everything while I just sat back and watched. And it came out really good! It was supposed to be a baked chicken recipe my friend Emmy sent me, but we turned out to not have two of the three things (dijon & monterry jack), so Jeff came up with some really good substitutions (ranch seasoning & cheddar), and I was impressed with how well he did!

The girls played a little after dinner, and I just continued sitting around, directing everyone else to do some chores and light clean-up, while I enjoyed the last of my Mother’s Day. The girls are both sound asleep now, and I just want to lay down and read or watch some tv before my own bedtime.
