Morning Sunbeams

These were some very smiley girls at camp drop-off this morning. And I love those beautiful morning sunbeams streaming through the trees in the background.

And Addie is getting better and better every day, walking into camp without being super clingy and whiny.

To celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, our office did a hot dog grill-out for everyone in the building. But, a lot of people were already off work, so there were only a couple hundred folks, instead of  our usual numbers about three times that many. They passed out these fans for while we waited in line, and then we took our food back to our offices where we can eat in the a/c, since it was like 100 degrees.

I used my little griddle grill pan thingy to make Hawaiian-style chicken burgers we got from Aldi. Then with some Knorr teriyaki noodles and steamed broccoli, it was a quick easy dinner.

Jeff was outside doing yard work for most of the night, so while he was finally eating dinner and getting a shower, I did a one-parent-put-down, with both girls falling asleep in our bed. Both of them were asleep by the very first lullaby on our playlist, snoring so very quietly.

I didn’t wash dishes last night, so now I have two nights’ worth of stuff to catch up on. So I’ll do my usual, by grabbing my earbuds and listening to an audio book while I try to knock out as many dishes as possible on my 15-minute Libby timer.
